Experience
The home page keeps this short. This is the longer version: what each role covered, what I built there, and the education and tools underneath it. Deeper than the resume, same facts.
Washington Commanders
Senior Business Analyst · College Park, MD (Remote)
The analytics function for an NFL franchise: the department's only analyst, reporting to the VP of Strategy and Analytics, with work that reaches the club president.
- In-house analytics platform. Built a custom web application (Laravel and Vue) as the department's alternative to Power BI after hitting its limits on flexibility, DAX complexity, and report delivery. The newest analyses exist because the platform does.
- AI-assisted development, from zero. Introduced AI-assisted development to the organization, made the case, and got it sanctioned. Then rebuilt the reporting data model around it: streamlined aggregation views under a documented semantic layer designed so AI tooling querying the warehouse gets consistently correct answers. Ten to fifteen reports across ticket sales, CRM, and sponsorship run on it.
- Rebuilt vendor logic in-house. During a first-of-its-kind ticketing platform migration, the data vendor's turnaround on fixes stretched to two months each. Rather than stay blocked, I reverse-engineered the revenue logic, rebuilt it on the source tables, and moved reporting off the vendor's mapping layer entirely.
- Analyses the old stack could not support. Advanced ticket pacing, secondary-market sales insight, and semantic modeling of open-text fan survey responses, classified and ranked by sentiment.
- Retiring Excel. Migrated sponsorship revenue and inventory reporting off manual Excel processes and into governed reporting.
Solar Reviews
Software Engineer · Eatontown, NJ
The engineering seat at a consumer solar marketplace: internal tools, the commission engine, and the company's Looker reporting system.
- Looker reporting system. Architected the company's Looker and LookML reporting across multiple product lines.
- Commission engine. Developed the commission calculation engine, tracking sales rep tenure and customer lifecycle, and retired an entirely Excel-based process.
- Internal tools. Built internal web tools in Laravel and Vue.
Miami Dolphins
Business Analyst · Miami Gardens, FL
Ticket sales analytics for an NFL club, from daily executive reporting to the BI platform itself.
- Ticket sales reporting. Owned the ticket sales reporting suite in Tableau: revenue pacing against goals and sales metrics, built for the executive audience.
- BI platform migration. Led the department's move from Tableau to Power BI, and used the transition to consolidate business logic scattered across workbooks into governed, reusable datasets.
- CRM analytics. Built sales activity reporting on Microsoft Dynamics: rep touchpoints, calls, and productivity.
Saint Rose Men's Basketball
Director of Analytics, Graduate Assistant · Albany, NY
Basketball operations from the inside, reporting directly to the head coach, with a 2023–24 return that ran alongside the Commanders job.
- Lineup analysis the staff used. Built plus/minus and lineup-level analysis that informed the head coach's rotation and starting-lineup decisions.
- Real-time analytics prototype. Designed and built a real-time in-game platform (Python and Django) for scouting, player performance tracking, and game-flow metrics.
- Automated film cutting prototype. Wrote an algorithm that reads the game clock off the broadcast feed, syncs it to the stat feed, and cuts clips from the derived timestamps.
- The unglamorous parts. Scouting prep, film breakdown, and staying late to rebound. The domain knowledge under everything else here.
